Rule church celebrates 100 years
Rule church celebrates 100 yearsArea Church Notes 04.13.06April 13, 2006First Baptist Church of Rule will observe its 100th anniversary Saturday and Sunday. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday with a light supper in the church's fellowship hall. Following the meal, a congregational singing and individual/group music specials will be held in the sanctuary.Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m. Easter Sunday and worship at 11 a.m., followed by a catered lunch provided by the church at the Rule school cafeteria. Persons will then reconvene in the church's sanctuary for more singing and the sharing of testimonies and memories. Church St.. will have Maundy Thursday services at 7 p.m. today in the church fellowship hall. This is a service of remembrance of Jesus' last night with his disciples. Communion will be served and the service will close with the Tenebrae, or Service of Shadows.On Easter Sunday at 7 a.m. the church will host the annual community sunrise worship service at the Winters Country Club clubhouse. A continental breakfast will be served following the worship service.CapsCaps Baptist Church invites everyone to Easter activities Sunday.
